Released via T-Boy Records, Spookshow International Live is the first collection of live music from the horror music/film icon since 2007's Zombie Live. Recorded during Zombie and company's 2013 Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor tour, the 19-track set list, none of which has been tampered with (no overdubs, exaggerated crowd noise, etc.), includes fan favorites like "Living Dead Girl," "House of 1000 Corpses," "Dragula," and "Superbeast," as well as covers of The Ramones' "Blitzkrieg Bop" and Grand Funk Railroad's "We're an American Band."

Zombie shines live once again on his second live album, the first in 8 years. Basically with any live performance, you have to first of all like live music. If you don't, then move along to something else. I myself love live show recordings, but only if they are soundboard recordings, and this captures both the band rocking high and the atmosphere of the audience well. Of coarse everyone has probably heard "Living Dead Girl" and "Dragula" played live a million times before, but even now Rob manages to change it up a bit and it rocks more than ever and it's great to hear the audience singing along.

I must say tho the first half of the set sounds good, but not as energetic as the last few songs on the album, I don't know if this is one show or several recorded, and maybe the last few are more recent and the band is not tiring of playing them yet, but the last few tracks after Dragula really go off (rock \../, ) "P.Liqueur" and "Ging Gang Gong" sound like the band really enjoy belting those songs and lyrics out and give it all to the audience in full swing.

Probably the surprise track of the album is "Blitzkrieg Bop", for one, I didn't think I'd ever hear that played live, so there's a bonus, but at the same time it sounds more like the original Ramones version cranked up to 11. It's not the same way Rob recorded it, however, that's not a bad thing, as it sounds both great the recorded way, and this way.

Any Zombie fan or metal fan for that matter should definitely check out this album. Sure, bands that have been around a while and produced several great albums can never please every fan and play every song you want to hear live, I myself am still waiting for "Spookshow Baby", "Feel so Numb" & "Go to California" but there is still hope for that in future, as Rob seems to have listened to what fans wanted to hear that was not included on the last live album, and included them here amongst what has to be included and the new songs to promote.

The only reason I don't give a perfect 4 stars is not just because a few songs are not personal favorites of mine, but a few of the first couple of songs sound like Rob is a bit out of breath and the band is not giving it 100%, like they've played the songs enough already.

Overall tho, still the best album I have heard so far this year!

PRETTY BOY FLOYD certainly carried the torch of theatrical rock with its Top 20 MTV videos "I Wanna Be With You" and "Rock And Roll Is Gonna Set The Night On Fire". Their debut album would go on to sell 750,000 copies worldwide, and laid the foundation for the career they've sustained over the decades. Trends have come and gone but these "boyz" have survived and thrived, recording new music for a loyal fan base and still touring the world.
